The Fire Alarm Field Superintendent manages and oversees the work of service technicians, provides technical field service and support to the team and customers, and is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating for small to medium-sized projects.
Project Supervision:
Guidance and assistance with methods of troubleshooting, PMs etc.
Guiding junior technicians on complex troubleshooting
Participating in site surveys as technical expert
Participating in projects planning sessions and kick off meetings
Participating in project mobilization working with crew leader developing plan of work
Periodic site visits to assure team is working the plan.
Meeting with customers onsite leaders for feedback upon completion of the project.
Develop training plans:
Online
Hands-on
Individual
Keep tracking of mandatory training (lifts/ confined space etc.)
Scheduling:
Planning manpower resources to upcoming/ongoing projects
Assigning technicians to service calls
Maintaining on-call list
1st level of escalation if on-call technician is not answering
Requirements:
10 years of experience in Fire Alarm OR 2 years technology degree and 8 years of experience in Fire Alarm.
NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level III Preferred.
US citizenship with Secret Security Clearance eligibility.
Must have valid driver’s license, good driving records to operate a MC Dean vehicle as part of this job requirement.
Advanced troubleshooting including researching online, system manuals to resolve problems.
Knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, Fire Alarm System Theory, OSHA Requirements, and Industry Standards for Fire Alarm systems installation.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must be able to pass random drug screening.

Physical Requirements:
Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
