Position Overview:

The Electrical Engineering Leader 2 (Power Systems) is responsible for leading, developing and managing complex projects/programs, while building key-client trust to ensure world-class solutions. This position is responsible for continuously prioritizing best practices across a multitude of Electrical Systems including Critical Power, Modular Delivery, Power Distribution & System Upgrades within high-growth vertical markets.

The Electrical Engineering Leader 2 is expected to provide overall development, training & leadership to Junior Engineering Leadership, Design Production & Detailing personnel as it relates to the strategic planning, overall implementation & ownership of project completion.

The Electrical Engineering Leader 2 being considered must have hands-on experience in primary oversight, design and engineering development, implementation, and ownership of project execution. This candidate will be required to hold proven Senior Design & Engineering knowledge of complex industries related to Government & Federal Facilities, Manufacturing Centers, and Mission Critical Buildings with projects located on a national scale.

Position Requirements:

  • Must have experience and previous knowledge in developing and providing quality solutions to complex challenges within Electrical Systems related to Critical Power Systems.

  • Proficiency in a multitude of Engineering Technologies and various Application Methods Including:

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access)

  • Engineering Document Management Systems (EDMS)

  • Microsoft Visio

  • SharePoint

  • SureTrack

  • Applied experience utilizing collaborative techniques to effectively lead a diverse project-team in a constructive and positive manner.

  • Provide success in leading technical meetings, strategy driven discussions and solution-method ideas that result in positive conclusions.

  • Advanced knowledge and working experience in technical engineering aspects including:

  • Application of Principles, Design Techniques, Engineering Procedures, and Equipment knowledge specific to a multitude of Electrical Engineering and Design Systems for a variety of key-clientele.

  • Proficient understanding of Cost Estimation, Finance Systems and Advanced Principles of Financial Management as it relates to Engineering & Specialty Construction.

  • Applied proficiency in effectively utilizing presentation tools and techniques, to deliver a clear understanding of project details to the appropriate parties.

  • Must have Expertise in the Design, Build & Development of new-products, innovative technologies, or services provided to the client with a Turnkey-Solution driven strategy.

  • Applied proficiency in the design, build, and development of new products, technologies, or complex solutions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading technical Engineering discussions, providing a clear direction for project-teams and ensuring all programs are prioritized as required.

  • Lead solution-driven discussions and validate the quality of project outcomes on a consistent basis.

  • Responsible for identifying, recommending, and implementing work process improvements as it relates to specific project details to ensure success prior to inception.

  • Oversight and ability to conduct final reviews of all technical project details prior to the implementation of the project, and within timeline expectations.

  • Ensure all Engineering best practices are understood and implemented across multiple Engineering Disciplines, Project-Teams, and diverse programs.

  • Responsible for the Management of all technical risks specific to each project, and proactively present each client with specific outlined solutions to minimize negative outcomes.

  • Must consistently partner with multiple Engineering disciplines to develop new and future Engineers as it relates to the training, mentorship, and growth of the future experts in Engineering Leadership.

  • Lead the development and maintenance of project artifacts that are required to ensure project success outcomes.

  • Must prioritize the leading and managing the integration of data from multiple company platforms, with the ability to analyze the data and provide insight to the technical solution related to the project-specific issue based on the conclusion of findings.

  • Ensure all Safety regulations are adhered to, and any issues are identified and resolved immediately.

  • Maintaining a positive, assertive relationship with all project personnel to achieve project milestones and overall project success.

Education, Experience & Technical Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10-12 years of technical Engineering & Specialty Construction experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or an Engineering discipline with a strong preference to Electrical.

  • 7-9 years of technical Engineering & specialty experience with a Master’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering.

  • Required knowledge within Engineering Leadership functions including technical design & engineering abilities, proficiency of applied principles, & prioritization of deliverable deadlines tied to each specialty-trade simultaneously.

  • Professional Engineering (PE) License in at least one state required.

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience & established Electrical System knowledge specific to Electrical, Critical Power & Cooling Systems, Modular Delivery, Power Distribution & System Upgrades within scopes including new & existing construction, renovations, and upgrades.

  • Extensive experience leading diverse teams & complex engineering solutions specific to projects within Government & Federal Facilities, Manufacturing Centers, and Mission Critical Industries.

  • Ability to properly utilize software including Bluebeam, Accubid, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Microsoft Office & Excel.

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance if required for the project.

Certifications Desired:

  • LEED Accreditation

  • DBIA Certification

  • PMP Certification
