Reliability Engineer - Facilities Maintenance & Trend Analysis

As Reliability Engineer specializing in Maintenance and Trend Analysis, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the maintenance processes, analyzing trends in equipment performance, and implementing strategies to enhance reliability. You will work closely with facilities maintenance teams, operations, and other stakeholders to ensure that our equipment operates efficiently, minimizes downtime, and extends its operational life. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our systems and equipment through comprehensive analysis and strategic maintenance planning. Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies that maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

  • Schedule and coordinate routine maintenance activities to ensure minimal disruption to operations.

  • Evaluate and improve preventive maintenance plans and procedures.

  • Maintenance Planning and Execution: Develop and implement proactive maintenance strategies to maximize the reliability and longevity of assets, equipment, and systems. Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure timely execution of scheduled maintenance activities.

  • Ensure all equipment is being maintained in accordance with OEM requirements and industry standards.

Trend Analysis:

  • Collect and analyze data on equipment performance, failure rates, and maintenance costs.

  • Identify trends and patterns in equipment behavior to proactively address potential issues.

  • Utilize predictive maintenance tools and technologies to forecast equipment failures.

  • Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to identify trends and patterns in equipment performance, reliability, and failure rates. Analyze historical data to predict and prevent potential equipment failures and downtime.

  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis investigations to identify the underlying causes of equipment failures and reliability issues. Develop and implement corrective actions to address root causes and prevent recurrence.

  • Maintain the project's Trend analysis program as required by the customer.

Root Cause Analysis:

  • Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures to determine the underlying issues.

  • Recommend and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring problems.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address systemic issues.

  • Create After Action Reports following major incidents or as required by management and the customer.

Reliability Modeling, Simulation: Improvement:

  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to enhance equipment reliability during the design and development phases.

  • Implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles to optimize maintenance strategies.

  • Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or replacements to improve overall reliability.

  • Develop reliability models and simulations to evaluate the reliability of systems and equipment under various operating conditions. Use modeling tools to assess the impact of proposed maintenance strategies and reliability improvements.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance activities, failure analysis, and trends.

  • Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate maintenance performance and recommendations to management.

Asset Performance Management:

  • Monitor and assess the performance of critical assets and systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization. Develop strategies to enhance asset performance and reliability.

Requirements & Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors degreewith minimum 7-9 years' experience in Energy Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Civil, Systems, Construction Management, Business Management or relevant field of study.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis techniques and statistical methods.

  • Experience with reliability modeling and simulation software preferred.

  • Solid understanding of maintenance best practices, including preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, results-driven approach.

  • Preferred - Certification in Reliability Engineering (CRE) or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)

  • US Citizen with ability to obtain a TS-SCI with Poly, preferred active Top Secret Clearance
