Energy Engineer
As an Energy Engineer within our Facilities Engineering Operations & Maintenance team, you will play a pivotal role in driving energy efficiency initiatives, reducing operational costs, and supporting our commitment to sustainability. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to identify opportunities for energy conservation, implement energy-efficient technologies, and ensure compliance with energy-related regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Energy Conservation Strategy:
Develop and implement an energy conservation strategy to reduce the organization's energy consumption and environmental impact.
Identify and prioritize energy-saving projects and initiatives.
Work with the project team and customer to ensure the facility is meeting its LEED goals.
Facility Assessment:
Conduct energy audits and assessments of our facilities to identify areas for improvement.
Analyze energy data to establish benchmarks and track performance over time.
Energy Efficiency Projects:
Manage and oversee the planning, design, and execution of energy efficiency projects, including lighting upgrades, HVAC improvements, and renewable energy installations.
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collect, analyze, and interpret energy consumption data to identify trends and anomalies.
Prepare regular reports and dashboards to communicate energy performance and savings to management.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay informed about energy-related regulations and standards.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal energy efficiency and sustainability requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and external partners to promote energy conservation awareness and best practices.
Provide training and guidance to employees on energy-efficient behaviors.
Requirements & Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree with minimum 0-2 years' experience in Energy Management, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Strong knowledge of energy conservation principles and practices.
Familiarity with energy-efficient technologies and renewable energy sources.
Proficiency in energy management software and data analysis tools.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or similar certifications preferred.
US Citizen with ability to obtain a TS-SCI with Poly, preferred active Top Secret Clearance
