Position Summary

Seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Lead who able to lead and work with a dynamic team of system engineers, cyber compliance analysts, and information system security officers responsible for executing cybersecurity compliance and Risk Management Framework (RMF) scope of activities for a large resilient hardware and virtualized infrastructure and support electronic security systems components. Position is partially onsite with the customer and partially remote, if desired.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of engineers, analysts, and cybersecurity specialists—general staff supervision and evaluation, task coordination, manpower planning, risk mitigation, communications, and status tracking.

  • Be the contract Subject Matter Expert (SME) all matters related to Cybersecurity and the Risk Management Framework (RMF), eMASS, ACAS, HBSS, and Splunk.

  • Drive team awareness of newly emerging Department of Defense cyber requirements.

  • Bring forward suggestions on potential new cybersecurity related tools that will drive automation of team processes.

  • Ensure Risk Assessments, Exemption/Exception requests and RMF Packages meet compliance.

  • Ensure team monitoring, reporting and assessing Cyber compliance for all Operations and Infrastructure.

  • Ensure team maintenance, monitoring, reporting, and assessment of Cyber compliance on all security tools and technology.

  • Ensure team monitor, reporting, and assessment of Cyber internal and external policy compliance.

  • Work to mitigate risk across security system’s infrastructure.

  • Interface daily with program management, operations, and engineers leads to ensure coordinated performance of program requirements and increase the security posture of the supported environment.

Position / Candidate Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen with adjudicated U.S. Top Secret Clearance.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity Discipline.

  • Minimum ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in Information Security, with a good working knowledge of both DoD and Federal Government Cybersecurity/Information Assurance Security policies and procedures.

  • Minimum ten (10) years of demonstrated experience leading Cybersecurity Teams.

  • Minimum ten (10) years demonstrated experience with combined Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DOD Information and Assurance Accreditation Process (DIACAP). Includes experience performing DoD authorizations, Accreditations, and Assessments.

  • Minimum five (5) years demonstrated experience accrediting systems using Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) or similar, McAfee Host Based Security System (HBSS) or similar, and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with technical peers/leads.

  • Current DoD 8570 IAM Level-III certificate.

  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills with the ability and experience communicating with customers at various levels.

  • Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.

  • Strong MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio Skills is a plus.

Desired / Advantageous Qualifications and Experience

  • Valid current training Certificates for eMASS, HBSS, and ACAS.

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, IT, Information Management or Cybersecurity related concentration.

  • Understanding of Department of Defense standards and best practices.
