Pay Range : $91,125 -$121,500 - $145,800

Position Summary

Working under the supervision of a Project Leader on multiple Task Orders $500K -$10M in value, assisting with engineering and field personnel, specialty trade partners and assisting Project Superintendent with oversight of M.C. Dean direct labor workforce consisting of technicians and electricians.

  • Part of leadership team that leads design-build Task Orders that include electrical, normal and emergency power, electronic security systems, CCTV, access control, A/V, telecommunications, ISP/OSP, wireless and other technology applications ensuring design efficiency and contractual compliance.

  • Working on design reviews and quality checks.

  • Developing schedule(s) for task order(s) in logical steps to budget enough time required to meet deadlines

  • Working with construction superintendent to develop installation execution plans determining labor requirements to dispatch tradesman to construction sites

  • Assisting with planning, organizing and directing activities concerned with the upgrade and renovation in existing facilities in an operating environment responsible for design, installation, testing and start-up activities.

  • Interpreting and explaining plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients

  • Developing SOW and cost for revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements for the Project Leader to review.

  • Assisting with the coordination of engineering, construction, testing and commissioning activities. Coordinate with field personnel and/or engineering team to discuss any potential installation issues

  • Monitoring project budgets to ensure positive cash flow and preparing monthly financial forms.

  • Assisting with Inspecting and reviewing projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations

  • Interface with internal and external customers

  • Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with contract documents, building and safety codes, and other applicable regulations

  • Suggest process improvements / cost saving measures

  • Assist with equipment and material planning to ensure on-time delivery and location and storage to enhance project productivity

  • Assist with plan and obtain permits, badges and access requests in advance

  • Working with Site Superintendent plan and maintain manpower forecasts in relation to budget

  • and schedule Assist with plan and actively track work to ensure compliance with project schedule and budget Assist with preparing project kickoff (PKOM), gate checks and monthly Key Project Reporting (KPR)

  • Assist with maintaining organized and detailed project records

  • Assist with customer reporting including weekly project status and schedule updates

  • Routine interface with customer team to develop client relations, address project status and respond to customer concerns under the supervision of the Project Leader.

Requirements

  • Must have the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

  • BS (Preferred EE or Industry related degree) with 5-7 years of experience, or Master's Degree (Preferred EE or Industry related degree) with 3-5 years experience.

  • Related Construction experience with five years' working for an electrical or construction contractor.

  • Experience working on construction projects ranging from $500,000 to $10M.

  • Experience working with contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendums, specifications, change orders, RFIs, submittals.

  • Experience with CPM Scheduling

  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints and drawings on projects.

  • Must have strong interpersonal and writing skills and be a problem owner/solver.

  • Proven ability to effectively plan and organize one's own activities or the activities of others.

  • Proficiency with Computers including MS Office, Blue Beam, and PDF.

  • Experience working with management systems including estimating, scheduling and job cost reporting

  • Experience in operational risk management and knowledge of safety and quality control requirements

  • Experience overseeing and approving monthly job cost updates, productivity reports, and cash flow projections

  • Proficient in reading drawings, schematics and interpreting and understanding statements of work (SOW) to develop cost proposals and execution plan.

  • Proficiency in the Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling method and General Contractor Schedules Must have a history of completing projects under budget and on-time

  • Ability and willingness to relocate to customer for the duration of the project.

Preferred Skill set

  • Accubid Estimating (Or equivalent) directly related to Electrical Installations.

  • Primavera P6 CPM Scheduling Experience and proficiency (or equivalent).

  • Ability and Willingness to Travel to project locations as needed.
