The Project Engineer 2 Provides technical & administrative information to others working on a project to ensure that the work complies with all general engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instruction; trouble-shoots engineering related installation problems. Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.

Responsible for:

  • Planning and executing project completion and punch list.

  • Preparing specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.

  • Preparing invoices.

  • Submitting O&M manuals.

  • Assisting in development of full estimate.

  • Participate in KPR (Key Project Review).

  • Managing coordination & detailing logs & schedule.

  • Managing schedule updates.

  • Managing productivity reports.

  • Identifying value added solutions & cost savings methods.

Education

  • 2-4 years of experience with aB.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or applicable STEM degree AND at least 2 years electrical/mechanical design or contracting industry experience.

  • 0-2 years of experience with a MS/MA

Physical Requirements

  • At times, required to access work areas that are accessible only by O.S.H.A. approved site construction ladders or stairs that are under construction.

  • Must wear an M.C. Dean hard hat and safety glasses at all times while on the job site.

  • Ability to travel upon the completion of current project domestically across different project locations and scopes.

Abilities

  • Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.

  • Sitting for extended periods of time.

  • Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.

  • Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.

  • Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

  • Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.

  • Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.

  • Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.

  • Identify and understand the speech of another person.
