The Manufacturing Safety Manager is responsible forthe implementation andoversight of Safety and Health (S&H), and Risk Managementprocesses for a large manufacturing location.This includeseffectively managing multipleEnvironmental, Health andSafety programs,maintainingM.C. Dean’sISO45001 occupational health and safety management system, and collaborating withplant leadershipin the implementation and leadership of the Operational Risk Management (ORM) process.

The candidate being considered must have an extreme knowledge & understanding of leading Project-Safety teams across complex, diverse MEP & Power Systems within New-Build & Design-Build Manufacturing, Government & Mission Critical industries on a national scale.

  • Creating, developing and implementing safety training plans and curriculums.

  • Conducting new hire orientation (OSHA 10, 30 and CPR/FA training).

  • Redesigning training material, programs and the employee experience in hands-on training.

  • Understanding and interpretingstate, federal and local General Industry standards.

  • Monitoring and measuring effectiveness of training programs.

  • Mentoring safety professionals, cross training with other safety professionals and communicating updates to safety training material across the organization.

  • Remaining current with all regulatory, operational, and technical matters relative to safety management and safety training programs.

  • Participating in meetings with customers, project team members, and contractors/subcontractors and advising on project-specific Risk and Hazard mitigation plans, S&H training program, and technical reports.

  • This position requires 25% local travel (within 2 hours).

Education / Experience Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of safety management experience, emphasis on developing and implementation training programsin a large manufacturing environment.

  • 5-7 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in safety management discipline (manufacturingexperience preferred).

  • 3-5 years of experience with a Master's degree.

  • Experience conducting S&H training, Regulatory compliance expert/1910, 1926, EM-385.

  • Safety Management Systems knowledge, skill and experience.

  • ANSI-Z10, OHSAS 18001, ISO 31000,ISO45001

  • Understanding of culture and culture building skills.

  • Trainer Designation

  • OSHA 501/503

  • Safety and Health / Occupational Safety degree from an ABET accredited program.

  • Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP)

  • Willingness to pursue Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP),OccupationalHealth and Safety Technician (OHST).

  • Previousgeneral industry, manufacturing, assembly line, and warehousing health and safety program management.
