The Lift Director / Equipment Safety manager will be responsible for managing the scheduling and deployment of crane operators and riggers to support the execution of crane lifting operations. The individual in this role will be required to manage workload, prioritize projects, and ensure the safe and efficient use of crane equipment. The successful candidate will hold a certification in crane lifting operations and have a proven track record in managing teams and overseeing crane lifting projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a schedule for equipment operations, including coordination with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of projects
Manage the deployment of lift operators and riggers, including monitoring and tracking their performance to ensure compliance with safety regulations and adherence to established procedures
Supervise and train lift operators and riggers to ensure they are proficient in the use of equipment and knowledgeable about safety procedures
Monitor workloads and prioritize projects to ensure the efficient use of lift resources
Review and approve lift plans, ensuring that they comply with relevant regulations and industry best practices
Conduct regular safety audits of lift equipment and work sites to identify and address potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
Provide technical support to crane operators and riggers, including troubleshooting and problem-solving assistance
Maintain accurate records of lift operations, including equipment usage, maintenance and repair, and personnel assignments
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of lifting projects
Keep up-to-date with industry developments and technological advancements in crane operations, and apply this knowledge to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of lifting operations.
Qualifications:
15 years of experience with a High School Diploma / GED
Certification in crane lifting operations preferred
Proven experience in managing lifting operations and supervising teams
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders
Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices related to crane lifting operations
Proficiency in the use of computer software applications, such as Microsoft Office and project management software.
