In this role, and as part of a multidisciplinary team , theElectrical Engineer 2 - will be responsible for coordinating, integrating, and developing project engineering deliverables. These include product submittals, requests for information, coordination with vendors, sub-contractors and other engineering disciplines. At times these may mean construction design modifications. The successful candidate will support development of the Building Information Management model, equipment procurement, factory acceptance testing, and on-site commissioning testing/commissioning planning and execution.
The Project Engineer will :
Support the day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section of a project; ensure the success of their superintendent(s) and crews
Manage the complete material lifecycle: prepare specifications, coordinate design, review submittals, purchase material, track shipments, and confirm deliveries
Maintain organized and detailed project records
Identify, document, and resolve issues; ensure correction at the root-cause
Support project-closeout including punchlist creation, management, and closure
Maintain as-builts as work is completed
Education / Experience:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or applicable STEM degree AND at least 2 years electrical design or electrical contracting industry experience.
Must be familiar with Single and Three phase power systems and components
Must have basic understanding of Electrical Switchgear, Transformers, Motor Control Centers, Panelboards, and cable/conduit systems.
Must have a basic understanding and ability to work within the National Electrical Code
EIT certification or Professional Engineers License a definite plus but not required
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Poly Security Clearance
The Project Engineer must be able to :
Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
Organize, prioritize, and manage many competing responsibilities
Communicate direction and ensure that it has been understood and carried out
Communicate with people outside the Company, represent the Company to customers, the public, the government, and other partners while maintaining a professional and courteous image
Requirements:
Experience and / or familiarity with several of the following: Design software (AutoCAD, Bluebeam, REVIT), Etap/SKM, SEL Accelerator, or other electrical modeling and relay setting software.
Knowledge of design principles, relevant codes, and safety standards.
Familiar with producing and maintaining electrical construction documents through the life-cycle of the project; including design drawings, shop drawings, specifications, calculations and narratives, contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendums, RFI’s, submittals and change orders.
Ability and Willingness to Travel to individual Task Order locations as needed for follow on assignments.

Pay Range : $75,975 - $121,560
