M.C. Dean is looking for an experienced Asset Manager to join our team, supporting a complex Federal customer in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. The position is in direct support to our Program Manager and Deputy O&M IT Program Manager, working at the customer site.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work and collaborate with Program Management personnel on matters related to preparation and monitoring of project deliverables as associated with asset management and logistics.

  • Provide asset and inventory management across the entire asset management lifecycle – receiving, tracking, transporting, and disposing inventory. The intent is to provide financial and contractual data to manage the asset throughout its life cycle.

  • Provide continuous tracking of assets electronically within the MDAT, Infralink and DWS systems.

  • Conduct a quarterly hardware and software inventory and deliver documentation of the results and findings to the Government Asset Manager within each calendar quarter (i.e. March, June, September, December).

  • Work independently and directly with Government stakeholders to maintain property accountability of equipment, submit revisions, and receive Government acceptance of a property accountability processes; document standard operating procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions for these activities.

  • Support scheduling and coordination of deliveries from the warehouse to support project needs.

  • Support, as required, the inspection of goods and materials and assess condition for receiving, distribution, and recycling.

  • Provide oversight and work with the warehouse team to ensure new items are properly labeled and recorded in the maintenance management database upon arrival and in accordance with customer standards.

  • Track all assets to include asset attributes (i.e. vendor, model, serial number, type, cost, location, procurement records, warranty, etc.).

  • Analyze and manage inventory levels and product demand to determine reorder levels that will ensure product availability and minimize inventory costs.

  • Assist in the Governments annual Inventory Audit to help guide them in locating all barcoded assets.

  • Maintain compliance of the GFP inventory requirements per the contract DID to ensure accuracy of inventory and proper property transfer to the government

  • Track Government Furnished Property (GFP) JIRA and CAP tickets to ensure assets are entered properly for compliance.

  • Coordinate with the program procurement and warehouse teams where required to support responsibilities along the asset acquisition cycle.

Qualifications

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information. Active DoD TS/SCI with Poly clearance is required.

  • Associate's Degree with 11-13 years of experience

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8-10 years of experience (preferred).

  • At least 6 years of related, progressive experience.

  • IT asset and inventory experience required.

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure while managing numerous interruptions.

  • Ability to deliver with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and resolve practical problems.

  • Must be an effective communicator with excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone and in writing.

  • Must have strong multitasking skills.

  • Must have strong computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and interaction with customer portals and advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite.
